What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is utilised by therapists for many different reasons. Body work creates benefits for your mental as well as physical wellbeing.

The physical benefits include pain relief, reduces muscle tension, rehabilitation of injuries and stress reduction.

There is an assumption that Massage Therapy is a physical therapy. This is NOT the case! It decreases cortisol production which is a hormone responsible for depression and anxiety issues. It also increases serotonin levels, serotonin is known as the ‘happy chemical’ contributing positive mood and mental wellbeing.
