Sports massage is a therapy that targets specific areas of the body that are in need of repair, relief and healing. We, as therapists are equipped with a range of techniques to help with tightness, injury, pain and any constrictions or adhesions in the muscles.
While Sports massage treatments are not supposed to be particularly relaxing, client communication is a massive component and the therapist should always work within the client’s pain threshold.
During treatment, waste products or toxins will leave your muscles and due to the circulatory benefits, they will be released into the bloodstream in order to leave the body. Feeling sore or achy after a sports massage is normal, just ensure that you keep hydrated!
